unification of Mon and adopted Indian constructional design. Also known as
“genuine museum of stones” and titled the
"Westminster Abbey of Burma",
the impressive temple has close similarity to the Pathothamya
temple built in the 10th–11th century.

Built with red
brick, the temple consists of three tall
stories tall at 46 metres (151 ft) height. The temple is also famous for its careful gypsum moldings with four big
Buddhas facing each direction on the first floor. Although seriously damaged in the 1975
earthquake, the temple was then subsequently repaired
and now it is still one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Myanmar.
Built
on a low platform and having a proportional floor plan, the temple has the
Eastern entrance porch that spreads further out than the other three which fracture
the symmetry of the complex. The extensive shorter cube is peaked with three retrograding
terraces. The much second cube is much smaller with another three terraces. All
of them feature petit stupas on each of its sides.

Constructed
in the year 1183 by King Narapatisithu and has close similarity to the Thatbyinnyu
Temple in design, the Sulamani Temple’s another name "bragging jewel" also represents the
influence
from the Dhammayangyi Temple and was the style
for the
Htilominlo Temple. Reconstructed after the
earthquake in 1975 and rebuilt in 1994 by the utilization of brick and
stone, with beautifully painted pictures on the wall in the
interior of the temple, this temple
is a more complex than the Htilominlo and Gawdawpalin.
Associating
the horizontal planes of the last period with the vertical lines of the center,
the temple possesses two floors standing on spacious terraces assembled to form
a pyramid effect. The brickwork throughout is regarded as some of the most
outstanding in Bagan. Pagodas stand at the corners of each terrace, and a high
wall, adapted with perfect gateways at each cardinal point, surrounds the original
complex.

temples, Bagan is worth visiting for religious believer. On your trip to Bagan,
